Native American Flute Music

The Ventures Program has helped sponsor a number of LCAA regional events that included the participation of
over 100 experienced Lummi Indian cultural and performance artists. The LCAA exhibits resulted in
$50,000 in sales by LCAA members who also participated in performance
arts events, the presentation of Native oral histories, and traditional
storytelling for the general public.
More importantly, the LCAA
is a means for cultivating Lummi cultural arts to preserve and
perpetuate cultural identity, strengthen the ties between families and
generations, and promote economic self-sufficiency.
